Founded in 1976 Idea Books is a specialist wholesaler and distributor of books, exhibition catalogues, and DVD's on contemporary architecture, art, photography, design, fashion, and film.
Our scope is international. We act as agents for publishers and institutions from many countries, including the Netherlands, Spain, Japan, the USA, and Australia. And we offer their books throughout the world - Europe, N. America, Japan and Asia, Australasia, and parts of Latin America and Africa.
Our customers are book shops, museum stores, internet retailers, and local wholesalers who have their own national networks. These we reach through our representatives (see elsewhere on this web-site), our stands at major international book fairs such as Frankfurt, London and the USA, and via our seasonal catalogues and our web-site.
Our stock is kept in Amsterdam where we do our own physical distribution, invoicing, and accounts administration. We also have local stocking arrangements for key titles in the USA, Australia, and Japan.
Idea Books is a business-to-business company. We welcome enquiries from publishers and booksellers, who can also contact our representatives. Libraries and the general public can order our books via the specialist book trade. |
