‘Tomorrow Never’ presents photographs taken in Russia between 2018 and 2023 in the Urals, Siberia, Yakutia, and the Russian Far East. Swiss artist Augustin Rebetez was initially invited to take up a residency in Yekaterinburg, yet was soon drawn to the harshness of the winters and the vastness of the distances, but also to the warmth of the people he encountered. He explored how young people in these far-flung regions live, what they are like, and how one grows up under an authoritarian regime. He saw a frozen country, an isolated and determined generation, and a counterculture gasping for air, yet resisting. He asks: What can still be created in Russia today?
