The concept encompasses a spectrum of mainstream to underground subgenres – from grunge to jungle, boom bap to cloud rap, dub to hardtekk, drill to bouyon, classical to Italo disco, acid house to happy hardcore, minimal techno to death metal, French touch to Goa trance. As an added bonus, the book comes with a unique download code for 46 typefaces. Maxitype is an independent Swiss type foundry and publisher based in Geneva, founded in 2020 to support type design research, publications, and font distribution.
