For years, Luc Delahaye collected newspaper photographs as documents to fuel his reflections and photographic practice. From 2006, this archive evolved into an ever-growing accumulation, embodying a dark vision of the world. In 2020, the material took its current form: enlarged details of photographs, presented without captions or commentary. Drawn mainly from The New York Times and Le Monde, the images span 2006–2012 and include news, archival, and art reproductions. Completed in 2025, What’s Going On comprises 693 prints—an atlas of contemporary disorder and a meditation on history, violence, beauty, and the gaze.
