‘The Largely Unnoticed’ is about the sensorial potential of urban surroundings. More often than not, city dwellers are oblivious to the materiality and details that comprise our environment at close range. The sources of connection to our surroundings and the creation meaning about them are missed. This book intends to communicate an approach to urbanity of both experience and method, focusing on the small and close in the abundance of strange, subtle, and surprising details that invite notice and evoke emotional responses. The research takes shape through three elements: urban framing, photographs (divided into eleven thematic collections), and poetic wanderings.
