In 'Island Findings', Elleke van Gorsel (NL) explores the fragile beauty and diversity of nature through a personal journey between Tholen, the landscape of her childhood, and Iceland. The project originates from a concern about the decline of biodiversity and a desire to reconnect with nature. She carefully documented the smallest elements of the landscape without disturbing them. Combining personal memory, artistic research and close observation, the book reflects on biodiversity, vulnerability and our changing relationship with nature.
