Born in Romania in 1930 as Daniel Issac Feinstein, Daniel Spoerri later became a Swiss citizen by adoption. A poet, dancer, theater director, publisher, curator, visual artist, and restaurateur, he considered himself stateless after living across Europe and cultivating broad artistic friendships. As a founding member of New Realism, Spoerri became one of the 20th century’s major artists. This richly illustrated book features around twenty important works created between the 1960s and 1990s, alongside archival documents and essays by Catherine Francblin, Samuel Gross, and Pavel Schmidt.
