Enjoy Coffee - Branding & Cafe Design
The word “coffee entered the English language in 1582 via the Dutch “koffie”, borrowed from the Ottoman Turkish “kahve”, in turn derived from older Arabic forms. Green (unroasted) coffee is one of the most traded agricultural commodities in the world, with Brazil leading the world in its production. This volume focuses on how designers and architects approach the aesthetics of coffee and its enjoyment by presenting more than 50 projects – cafés, artisan roasters, coffeeshops, and more – from around the globe. From cosy spaces, warm interiors, and eclectic design, to slick branding and intelligent marketing, the appeal of coffee has a timelessness reflected in its vibrant design culture.
