The seventh instalment in the series includes nearly 400 drawings from 52 sketchbooks. As in the previous volume, the sketchbooks of this five-year period feature a small number of projects in comparison with the global activity of Foster + Partners. Starting in 2006, a key objective of the newly organised firm was to release Foster himself from responsibility for the detailed management of the practice so that he could concentrate more on design. As in earlier volumes, the structure here is thematic, with the first part on architecture, arranged by individual projects and further schemes, followed by furniture and objects, and with a special section on the NetJets aircraft.
