C3 294: Hyoman Kim - Resort Hotel

This issue documents the architectural works of HyoMan Kim whose designs create an active and dynamic dialogue between internal and external spaces. Alongside an interview with the architect, eleven works and projects are reviewed through colour photographs and technical drawings, including the Island House, Bu YeonDang and Purple Hill House – all in Korea. Further, seven recently completed resort hotels that embrace local geographical, historical and cultural characteristics are featured. Accompanied by plans and photographs, resorts include: the Jensen & Skodvin's Juvet Landscape Hotel, Norway; G Ateliers Architecture's Hotel Finca el Retorno Ecological Refuges in Guatapé, Mexico; and the KUUM Hotel Spa and Residences in Bodrum,Turkey by Global Architecture Development.
