AV Proyectos 033: Housing - Museums

In the shadow of the 20th birthday of the videogame ‘Sim City,’ AV examines a bunch of works and projects that may have never eventuated without the influence of this thought-provoking game. Among the ten featured projects: the Druot project by Lacaton & Vassal; Sou Fujimoto’s Apartments in Tokyo; Mecanoo’s Residential Block, Málaga; and, Carme Pinós’s Novoli Housing, Florence. New and yet to be realised projects are also included, featuring Herzog & de Meuron’s Küppersmühle Museum Extension, Duisburg; Snøhetta’s Univeristy of Gambia, Faraba Banta and Chora’s Remodeling project for Tempelhof Airport, Berlin. Further, the ‘La Llotja’ Congress Center in Lérida by Mecanoo /Labb Arquitectura is explored in comprehensive detail. Illustrated throughout, AV includes colour photographs, technical drawings and accompanying texts.
