“Utsuwa-ya Youbi” has been in business for more than half a century in Osaka, the capital of food. The shop's name 'Youbi' derives from 'beauty of use' and is named after Kaichi Tsuji, the second-generation owner of the long-established Kyoto restaurant Kaiseki Tsujidome. He has created Youbi's original tableware through careful dialogue with a variety of artists, and many chefs have placed their unwavering trust in his discerning eye. Through exchanges with renowned clients such as Tawaraya Ryokan in Kyoto and the teachings of Kaichi Tsuji, the depth of Japanese tableware and the essence of craftsmanship are portrayed. It is also packed with hints on how to use Japanese tableware for a quality everyday life.
