AV Monographs 241-242: Tadao Ando Complete Works
Former boxer and a self-taught architect, Tadao Ando is considered to be one of the masters of contemporary architecture. Monumental, abstract, and essential, his extensive oeuvre – with over 300 completed buildings – is defined by the use of stringent geometries, simple materials, and scenographic lighting. This issue presents a selection of 35 works, arranged in a detailed chronological journey, which take stock of the existential serenity and connection with nature that characterises Ando’s oeuvre.
