Eva Diallo graduated in photography from the Centre d'Enseignement Professionnel in Vevey, Switzerland, and moved to Saint-Louis, Senegal, in 2018. There, she dedicated her artistic research to the issue of irregular migration, drawing on her own family history - particularly that of two cousins who left Senegal for Italy and France. Her many journeys across West Africa - to Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, and beyond - tracing the paths of her relatives, have taken shape as an ongoing photographic series titled Bolol, structured in chapters. At each stage, Diallo immerses herself in the local context to better understand its dynamics and capture its atmosphere.
