This third issue of the Graphure et Peintrisme review was imagined, and partially conceived, on September the 24th and 25th, 2020, when Paul Cox and Benoît Bonnemaison-Fitte were fine-tuning the contours of their exhibition “Making and Matching” at the Espal - Scène nationale du Mans. It contains sixteen of the fifty or so drawings made a few hours before the opening by PC and BBF in the company of Geoffroy Pithon – who was passing by – as well as scaled-down reproductions of certain works in the exhibition. But also a Riso notebook made up of an alphabet of shapes drawn from the artists’ archives. And a diary retracing in words and photographs this week of residence during which an exhibition was created within the space of the theater, with four hands. Pure graphure.
