Jeanne Vicerial - Armors
|Author||Théa Chevalin ed.|
Armors is the first publication dedicated to the French artist known for her avant-garde practice. Pushing back the codes of the textile industry, questioning the dichotomy between made-to-measure and ready-to-wear, and the place of women and the female body in society, Armors brings together about fifteen new textile sculptures in various formats, some archival images, as well as an unpublished text by the philosopher Emanuele Coccia and a conversation between Jeanne Vicerial and the art historian Ida Soulard. Published on the occasion of the eponymous exhibition at Templon Gallery, Paris, in 2023.
