‘NOW: A Universe in Chapters’ is a first overview of works produced by artist Sandra Capaul over the past two decades. The works she developed in this period, through continuous experimentation with very different materials and situations, include photographs, drawings, objects, videos, and installations. In these, the Zurich-based artist defines experimental arrangements that often give her specific research projects an installation-like framework and provide the starting point for serial groups of works. The changeability of forms from different perspectives and rotation, in particular, frequently play a decisive role in Capaul’s oeuvre. “I create subtle, quiet spaces, spaces of perception.”
