Prijenosi/Overføringer/Transmissions is Damir Avdagić´s first artist monograph. Avdagić´s practice examines the socio-political implications of the conflict in the former Yugoslavia (1991-95) through text, performance and video. By collecting stories spoken by members of the Yugoslav diaspora and activating them through strategies of performance, Avdagić reflects broadly on historical memory, identity and transgenerational transmission. Prijenosi/Overføringer/Transmissions provides a visual survey of four projects created by Avdagić between 2014 and 2024. In addition, the publication features texts by Sabeth Buchmann, Slavenka Drakulić and Jasmina Tumbas as well as a conversation between visual artist Mary Kelly and Avdagić, giving a deep insight into the processes, methods and subject matter of his work.
