The 501 Xx A Collection Of Vintage Jeans
|World Photo Press
Jeans, originally called “waist overalls”, played a crucial role in the workforce beginning in the late 19th century. The riveted design made by Levi Strauss & Co. has since left an indelible mark on both the history of clothing design and fashion culture. One of these designs, the Levi’s 501 XX, with its beautiful fades and eye-catching details like the famous arcuate stitching, is still held in the highest regard among vintage clothing lovers. And although the 501 XX evolved over time to stay current with customers’ desires, it always remained true to its origins as tough work clothing. More than 50 pairs of vintage and rare jeans and other memorabilia appear in this tribute to a fashion icon.
