Arduna, meaning “our land” in Arabic, is part of the pre-opening program for the upcoming contemporary art museum from The Royal Commission for AlUla. Co-curated with the Centre Pompidou and supported by the French Agency for AlUla Development (AFALULA), it brings together over 80 major works by international and regional artists from both institutions’ collections. Drawing inspiration from AlUla, the exhibition uses the allegory of the garden to explore humanity’s evolving relationship with nature and the land. Organized in six chapters, it examines real and imagined landscapes while reflecting on climate change, urbanization, migration, and the Anthropocene.
