Alberto Garcia- Alix - Moto
|Publisher||Cabeza De Chorlito|
Spanish photographer Alberto García-Alix remembers when, as a young teen, he first encountered motorcycles – the scream of the roaring engines, the intoxicating smell of castor oil – and immediately became obsessed. Now, more than four decades since he first rode a motorcycle, he presents a photographic tribute to these two-wheeled monsters and the people for whom they are a lifestyle that borders on religion. Harley-Davidsons, Triumphs, tattooed arms, denim jackets covered in patches, full leathers, biker gangs, and the freedom of the open road all come together in this series of skilfully framed and shot black-and-white images. With a nostalgic text by García-Alix.
