Håndværk 08 - Fashion Denmark
Håndværk bookazine no. 8 takes us on a fashion-themed tour of Denmark. It starts out in Randers, with a visit to the Rhanders glove factory. Further we meet Søren Nikolaj Skyt – who runs the knitwear company S. N. S. Herning, founded by his grandfather in 1919 – as well as the next generation of designers at Design School Kolding. This issue also includes weaver and textile designer Stine Skytte, designer Jan Machenhauer and cap-maker Wilgart, and shoe manufacturer Eva Bartels, among others. Shoes are also the topic of conversation with Alain Leber. The tour ends in southern Sweden with Karl Berglund, who went from a career in fashion to life as a saffron farmer.
