The book presents over twenty years of her artistic output, juxtaposing early 2000s works with more recent pieces, alongside three new productions created specifically for the exhibition. Benassi moves fluidly across a wide range of languages, media, and imagery - an approach that has long been a hallmark of her practice. With a wry sensibility, she explores the cultural, critical, and artistic legacy of modernity, aiming “to enter history not to quote it, but to revive it in the present, creating a kind of intrusion,” thereby evoking a constantly paradoxical notion of time.
