Graphic 24: Amsterdam
The description of a city must be as diverse as the people in it, a multiplicity of definitions, networks, landscapes, cultures, histories, policies. From the perspective of the expatriate designer, what is Amsterdam? This issue is a subjective tour which gives a voice to the creativity of individuals working in the city. It ranges from foreign designers and research into the 1960s Provo movement to the aspirations of young designers in today’s economic reality. Including a map of design offices, it is detailed, personal and comprehensive.
