What do beauty and sustainability have in common? The 21st century increasingly demands sustainable design that no longer burdens the natural environment. In practice, this generates products and services laden with moral undertones, which are indeed ethically responsible but fail to appeal to the imagination or convince consumers. In other words, sustainable design is not very beautiful.

The IM Masters programme of the Design Academy Eindhoven, focused on conceptual design in context, decided that this has to change.
