Peter Picasso is a catalogue published in conjunction with the artist Peter Johansson’s 2023 summer exhibition at Tomelilla Konsthall in Sweden. It is Johansson’s largest exhibition ever and includes 22 newly produced films, construction works, sculptures and paintings – among them 100 authentic Picasso canvases, hand painted by Peter Johansson. Despite the title of the exhibition, the chief person is not Pablo Picasso. The exhibition is an homage to two of the artist’s greatest role models: the comedy duo Hasse & Tage and their cinematic masterpiece from 1978, Picassos äventyr [Picasso’s Adventures].
