'Sensing Interdependence' is a book and an exhibition (de Appel, Amsterdam, 27.06–10.08.2025) on the work of the Italian art collective Arts For the Commons (A4C), a collaboration between Ecuadorian artist Rosa Jijón and activist–researcher Francesco Martone. Through A4C’s methodology, it explores human–nature interdependence, addressing climate justice, resistance to extractivism, the rights of nature and peoples. Edited by Aria Spinelli, the book includes a text by CUNY Professor Ashley Dawson, an in-depth interview with the artists, and an artistic intervention by Kolxoz Collective.
