Produced in a limited risograph edition at the Palais de Tokyo, this artist’s book introduces the whimsical universe of Mathilde Nourrisson (b. 1999, Reims). A graduate of the École Estienne and the Sorbonne, Nourrisson has been creating human-sized textile puppets since 2020—strange, tender figures that inhabit installations and videos. Drawing on the comforter, the robot, and the scarecrow, her manipulable characters explore notions of injunction, difference, and community, inviting us into a tactile folklore where softness becomes both material and metaphor.
