Tadanobu Asano - Everlasting Fountain
In 2013 Japanese actor and musician Tadanobu Asano began sketching and drawing to kill time on sets during the long wait between scenes. He doodled on scripts, on the reverse sides of schedule papers, on hotel memo pads, and even on medicine wrappers. Since then, he has accumulated more than 3,640 pictures, and continues to draw regularly. The collection includes sketches, doodles, manga, his own versions of American comics, and abstract art. This book offers a selection of 500 works, giving insight into Asano’s perspective and reflecting some of the personal changes he has experienced in recent years. With a text by Asano and a CD of his original album ‘Kage No Oto’.
