Balancing abstraction and figuration, Dutch artist Marie Reintjes (b. 1990) paints landscapes, urban scenes, and memories drawn from family photo albums. Through restrained brushstrokes, she captures atmosphere and tranquility, transforming everyday moments into spaces of reflection. Temporary Terrain presents a selection of works from the past decade. Reintjes received the Sieger White Award 2024, a stipend supporting young artists from eastern Netherlands. Since graduating from HKU University of the Arts Utrecht in 2013, she has exhibited widely. In 2022, her Iceland series featured in a major solo exhibition at Singer Museum Laren. She lives and works in Arnhem.
